Kata Bags Review

Kata DR467i Camera Bag Backpack-
Review by Alice Keeney

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Kata DR467i. It is a great camera bag, and is super durable. The quality of the fabric along with the strong stitching makes it very rugged. Kata made great use of all of the nooks-I can fit two camera bodies, several lenses, a flash, and my laptop. It's also not too bulky, which is great; I hate feeling like I have an extra appendage when I'm walking through a crowded room! I love the fold out part at the bottom of the bag. As you can see in the photo, the bottom compartment almost folds outward, allowing me to easily see all of the items in that pouch. This area has dividers that attach with velcro and I can move around depending what gear I am toting; I find this really convenient.

There are several small pouches on the front of the bag which are great for storing things like keys, memory cards, and the ever important iPhone that I could not live without! There is nothing worse than digging deep into a bag looking for your keys after a long shoot! OH, one last thing! With all of the rain we've been having here in Charleston, the rain cover has been clutch! Overall, this bag has been great. I am rugged on my gear, and this bag has been up to the task of protecting it. To find this bag online, click HERE!

Kata R-103 Digital Rucksack- Review by Tyler Florence

Over the past few weeks I have been using the Kata R-103 and I can say that I am very satisfied. While it is fairly compact, I have all the space I need to store one DSLR body, two mid-sized lenses, a speedlight, battery charger and other accessories. I can also carry a 15in laptop and A/C adapter with ease. The R-103 is built tough and feels just as solid as Kata's more robust bags.

There are three attributes of the R-103 that impress me the most:

1) It is very comfortable! I went on a 30 minute walk with a full bag and it never came close to cutting into my shoulders or causing any sort of discomfort. This fall I plan on hiking in upstate South Carolina to shoot waterfalls so the tripod holder that is included with the R-103 will come in handy.

2) The people who designed the R-103 made really great use of all available space. The front flap of the bag contains three extra pockets and allows for more accessories to be stored with ease.

3) The smaller opening that is part of the main flap and allows for easy access to my camera body and lens.

Kata Bag 3N1-33- Review by Robin Willis

I have have been testing the Kata Bag 3N1-33 for about a month. I have to say that it has been a fantastic addition to my photography tool box. It is a sling bag, but it does posses both straps if you are in to that sort of thing. I have been using it as a sling because it is easy to whip it around to grab something out of the bag.

The heart of the bag is made up of movable velcro compartments. This feature is really handy because it allows me to change my bag around each time if I need to.

I am the kind of person that needs my mac with me. My Kata has a lap top compartment to let my mac come with me at all times!

Last but not least the handle. I think it is pretty self explanatory-grab and go!!

My SUMMARY on Kata Bag 3N1-33:
lightweight=allows me to be fast
lots of storage=get everything I need in one place
comfortable=personal satisfaction
